Devil May Cry 4 took the series to a new generation of hardware, including Xbox for the first time. This is just one of many firsts for this value. Capcom moved Dante aside to place newcomer Nero in the lead role, who brought his Devil Bringer arm as the new central mechanic. However, Dante was not completely avoided; Players control it during the questionably designed back half of the adventure.
