‘Pikmin 4’, ‘Sephonie’, ‘Punch Club 2’, Plus Today’s Other Releases and Sales – TouchArcade

Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for July 21, 2023. In today’s article, we look at the remaining releases of the week. Turns out there are quite a few, and a handful of them are pretty good. Pikmin 4 He’s obviously the big ticket, but you might find other things to enjoy. After going through all of these, we have some sales to look at. New, expired. Some good stuff there, no doubt about it. Let’s get down to business!

New releases

Pikmin 4 ($59.99)

It’s wild to see a new episode of this series, but I sure won’t complain. It’s probably the most accessible approach the series has ever taken, removing the time constraints and adding an extremely helpful dog-like creature. Collect your Pikmin, explore the world, find treasures and enjoy some very fancy visuals. I’ll likely have a review on it, but there’s also a demo available if you want to taste it for yourself.

Spoony ($19.99)

It comes to us from the same people who worked on it Anodyne 1 and 2, even the oceanand a few more things. If you’ve played these games, that alone should get your attention. It’s a 3D puzzle platformer with a heavy emphasis on parkour, following the story of three biologists who are marooned during a research expedition. As they work together to deal with the terrain they find themselves in, their bonds grow stronger. At the same time, some trouble seems to be brewing. Mmm, mysteries.

Sword of Glory ($14.99)

Roglie arena fighting game for single player. Travel to different cities, fight enemies in arenas, upgrade your weapons and equipment, eventually you will fail, come back a little stronger. I can see that the publisher has already given it a deep discount on day one, which isn’t exactly a massive show of confidence in the game’s quality. If the publisher doesn’t believe in it, it’s hard to ask me to do more.

D-Corp ($17.99)

hmm This is a tower defense game with some light puzzle elements for up to four players using local multiplayer. It’s definitely colorful. I guess the fact that it comes from RedDeer means it will have high discounts. Maybe some special editions, and ultra editions, and fancy hat editions. I don’t know if it’s good or not, but there’s nothing I see here that would justify the full price purchase. But I’m not the captain of your purse soldiers.

Punch Club 2: Fast Forward ($19.99)

The battle management sim returns with this sequel. Taking place twenty years after the events of the first game, this game sees you in a neon cyberpunk environment. Nevertheless, the broad lines are the same. Train, get stronger, win battles, meet strange people and repeat until you reach the top of the fighting world. If you enjoyed the first game, you’ll almost certainly enjoy this one.

Yes! You want “those games”, right? So here it is! Now, let’s see you clean them! ($9.99)

Oh, now It is the kind of thing I like to see from D3 Publisher. I’m sure most people reading this site are familiar with the types of misleading ads you see for mobile games. Pull the pin puzzles, the parking puzzles, the ones where the knight or the fish have to take on the bigger numbers to make their way up the ranks, the ones where different colored liquids have to be put into their saucers, and so on. You download the game and it turns out to be match builder 3 or plain old. What about the game you saw in the ad? Well, here you go. It is a collection of five mini-games based on the same misleading ads, each with a number of stages to complete. It’s a bit ridiculous, but also a brilliant idea.

Otoko Cross: Pretty Boys Breakup! ($6.99)

to play to break up With nine beautiful boys, unlock new outfits and background images for you to create your own dioramas. Well, if you’re going to make a brick breaker, you should at least do something else to draw people in.

The Legend of Snow: Mystery of the Flame ($7.99)

It is a matching puzzle game with a story attached to it, featuring more than a hundred levels to play along with an endless mode. It looks fine for what it is, and the price isn’t too outrageous. I usually prefer playing games like this on my phone, but if you don’t mind looking at a Switch-compatible puzzler, here you go.

Words of Wisdom ($4.99)

It looks like a decently made puzzle platformer for the price. You have been captured by some strange clown and have to entertain him by clearing the various trap rooms he has prepared. Some are standard platforming challenges, while others will force you to think about what to do. The solutions can be very unconventional at times. A decent choice at a reasonable price for today.

Super Dinoblaster ($2.99)

I was ready to delete it, but I see it’s from the same publisher as 3D series and Super Kiwi 64. I believe they have a decent eye for affordable entertainment, so I’m tentatively keeping it out of the bin area. It looks like the lower end of the Switch platform category at five bucks, and for once we have something that looks like that and is actually cheaper than a fiver. Pocket change indeed, and I’m sure it’s at least entertaining enough for that kind of bet.

The trash can

Ramp Car Racing ($3.99)

Hypertension ($2.99)

100 Doors Games: Escape School ($9.99)

Ring Racer ($4.99)

Sales

(North American e-store, US prices)

If you want and Alice, today is your day. Both collections are at new low prices, as are the individual games if you prefer to choose. This sale may celebrate the announcement of a third Wallis collectionWhich is going to require even deeper barrel scratching than the other. Personally, I would grab the first collection and then and Alice IV On its own, but that’s just me. Lots of other good stuff there, like Graze Counter GM for ten Some decent stuff in the inbox too, so check out those lists.

I returned to both PowerWash simulator and Arcade Heaven This week, which definitely hurt my productivity. Still, a nice break from the recent spate of heavy RPGs and simulation games. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and as always, thanks for reading!
