Outriders is free to play on Steam until Thursday

I loved the third-person shooter of Can Can Fly, Outriders, when I played with it last year, though I can not disagree too much with Morgan’s rating in his 63% review. However, I did not stay with it after the launch, and many others fell with it: its Steam numbers dropped from the concurrent player count of a record of More than 125,000 (Opens in a new tab) April 2021 except for a shy of 2,600 over the last 30 days.

Despite this drop (and it does not apply to console players and Game Pass, do not forget), Outriders is still out there and still growing: in fact, Worldslayer expansion (Opens in a new tab)With new locations, equipment, weapons and end-of-game content, it is set to air on June 30th. And because Square Enix desperately wants new players to give it a try (and players who will not return), it has made the Outriders completely free to play for the next three days steam (Opens in a new tab): Until 10:00 PT / 13: 00 ET on June 23, you can just go to the store page, click the “Play Game” button, well, play the game.
