Netflix has appointed Roberto Berra as head of its gaming, planning and analytics strategy with the goal of boosting its gaming services.
Berra, a veteran in the gaming industry, has spent the past 11 years at PlayStation, where he was recently a senior executive in enterprise strategy.
While on Playstation, Barrera was the head of strategic analysis for the company’s game streaming service, Playstation Now. This experience with managing subscribers is invaluable to Netflix as they test the waters to find ways to access the gaming space.

“Throughout my career, I’ve worked on projects that converge on exactly what games can be for Netflix,” Barrera said (Via LinkedIn).
“To say I’m passionate about what we’re building here is an understatement. I fully intend to take this opportunity to leverage new technologies, amazing capabilities and content to elevate games through a unique offering that can only come from Netflix.”
Netflix launched its gaming service in November 2021 and the service has slowly grown to 14 modest titles, with three more to be added this month. You can check out the entire list of games currently available from Netflix here.
Last week, Netflix acquired Finnish mobile game developer Next Games for an estimated $ 72 million. The following games are known for making IP TV popular for mobile games, including Netflix’s Stranger Things.
