This is the last Switch eShop round-up before Christmas, and there are a few late releases to talk through plus a long list of new sales to clear. Melatonin is a rhythm game that has been waiting for a Switch port, Hyper Gunsport is the Stadia-born volleyball-with-guns multiplayer, and there are sales that range from Football Manager 2023 Touch down to one-dollar curiosities.
We will keep this brief and direct — the holiday window is short.
At a glance
- Melatonin ($14.99) is a rhythm game with twenty levels, a level editor, and Mash-Up modes.
- Hyper Gunsport ($24.99) is a four-player local multiplayer sports game with guns.
- Sales run through Christmas Eve for most publishers, with some lasting into January.
- Football Manager 2023 Touch is $40.49 (down from $44.99) through Christmas.
- Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Dark Alliance II are both $23.99 (down from $29.99).
Why this matters
End-of-year Switch sales are useful for two reasons. First, they let you catch up on titles you missed during the year. Second, they hint at what publishers are planning next — when Capcom, Idea Factory, and the Pixel Game Maker series all run sales at once, it usually means a publisher event is coming soon. That is how you spot the next big release before it is officially announced.
The Melatonin release is the standout of the week. It is a rhythm game with twenty levels, a level editor, and Mash-Up modes. If you enjoy rhythm games with clean visual design, this is an easy pickup at $14.99. Hyper Gunsport is the Stadia-born follow-up to Gunsport, with four-player local multiplayer — a strong pickup for parties if you have four controllers.
A worked example
Say you have eShop credit and you want to maximize it. Pick up Football Manager 2023 Touch ($40.49) on a gift card, then add Melatonin ($14.99) and consider Hyper Gunsport ($24.99) on sale. That is three games for under $80, which is a strong holiday haul for a Switch owner who missed the big fall releases. If you are spending real money rather than credit, the Football Manager Touch deal is the strongest individual discount of the round-up.

What to watch next
Watch for the post-Christmas publisher events. The pattern is reliable: when sales stack up at the end of December, the publisher showcase is rarely far behind. If Capcom, Inti Creates, and Idea Factory are running sales now, expect their next announcements soon. The Capcom Arcade Stadium DLC pricing, in particular, looks like inventory-clearing ahead of whatever the studio announces next.
Bottom line: Melatonin and Hyper Gunsport are the picks for new releases this week, Football Manager 2023 Touch is the deepest discount of the round-up at $40.49, and the rest of the Christmas sales list is mostly filler — wait for the January publisher showcase before committing to anything past $30.
