Funding the Next Generation of Roblox Experiences

Roblox is looking for game developers and game studios, including those who are new to our platform, who love experimenting with new technology and want the opportunity to bring their amazing vision to life. And to help them achieve their creative goals, we have launched a game fund to provide the resources they need to build the next generation of Roblox experiences.

Requests are now open. Our goal is to be a close partner with you to provide not only funding but the support you need to push the boundaries of what the Roblox experience can provide. We’ve already turned green the first apps, including neonKnights, a cyber-punk isometric role-playing game; Thunder rolls, A realistic first-person military action game; And Winds of Fortune, an open world sea adventure – and we can not wait to see what happens next!

Suitable projects

We are looking for projects with innovative gameplay, ambitious visual designs and creative ideas that are unlike anything else on the platform. We will prioritize ideas that include:

• Multiplayer game, cross-platform, with mobile optimization in mind
• Social mechanics as a key to experience
• In-game avatars that reflect elements of the user’s platform’s platform identity
• Ability to leverage “metric” items (i.e., items that can be equipped with platforms on the platform, such as those in the Avatar Store)

If you are accepted into the program, we will collaborate with you to define key products for your project and provide funding based on your progress toward these milestones.
