The engines barely had a chance to cool off from the last crazy season, yet we are approaching Formula 1 season 2022. If this season is similar to last year, we expect fireworks. Not in the last place because of the new regulations that can really shock. Looking ahead we are sure of a few things, the full calendar of Formula 1 season 2022 and the driver network of all participating teams. This is basic information for anyone looking for an absolute winning bet for the entire season. Basic, but critical. Can we already say anything other than the names and numbers? Let’s take a look.
Formula 1 driver network 2022 season
Mercedes
Most of the attention came to Mercedes, where the superstar seemed to have disappeared from the star and Butas moved to Alfa Romeo. Now that the dust has settled, it looks like George Russell will (finally) be a member of Lewis Hamilton’s team. This rumor has been circulating for years, but every year Botas gets a new one-year contract with Mercedes. During the 2020 tradable Grand Prix Russell proved himself more than a worthy heir who proved a successful replacement.
As for the world champion seven times, he is finally back on the horse when he signs a contract by the end of 2023.
Red Bull
Red Bull has the same ‘problem’ as Mercedes, as they have been looking for the perfect team member for their lead driver for a while. In the last race Peres proved that maybe he is just that. What a fight it was, that’s probably what gave Max Wurstpan the championship since Hamilton would surely have been going for new tires with another 10 seconds. Peres won another contract for a year. Max Verstaffen wants to do it ‘For another ten or fifteen years‘As he shouted from his helmet.
We’m not sure if it will get to that, but Worstfen has a contract that will keep him at the Red Bull at least until the end of 2023 (like Lewis at Mercedes).
Mac Laran
There is nothing surprising here. Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo both have contracts for at least two more seasons. This stability will surely help the team move forward. Will Ricciardo be seen later this year?
Aston Martin
There have been rumors that Sebastian Wettel did not want to continue during the Formula 1 season 2022, but it turned out that it was only a contract negotiation that halted the final decision for a while. Meanwhile Lance Stroll, the son of the team owner, knows he is safe for years to come in the team from Silverstone.
Alpine
Another group with a light sailing this season. Esteban O’Connor and Fernando Alonso will both drive with Alpine. Fernando Alonso had several options in his contract for an earlier leave, but both sides seem to be happy with how things are going. Okon announced last June that he will be with the team until 2024.
Ferrari
Ferrari looks good for the future, with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Saints Jr. currently sitting stably. In the waiting room of the talent show two eager drivers with the names Antonio Giovanzi and Mick Schumacher are just waiting for their chance.
Alpha Tauri
In the run-up to the GP Monza, AlphaTauri has announced that Pierre Gassley and rookie Yuki Tsunoda will also be leading the Formula 1 team in the 2022 season. Yuki Tsunuda had a year to test the waters, but now he will prove that the expectations around him have been established. With Dr. Helmut Marco nearby, anything can happen.
Alpha romeo
The only team this year with two brand new drivers is the Alfa Romeo. The contracts of Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Gionavati were not renewed (Kimi stopped completely). Antonio heard last November that he would be replaced by rookie Guano Zhou, while Botas takes the seat ice Man. Is it a smart move to start with two new drivers when the car is going through so many changes due to new regulations? only time will tell.
Haas
In December 2020, Haas signed Nikita Mazpin. The Russian will also travel on the American car next season, how much does that have to do with the money he puts in from his father we leave in the middle. Mick Schumacher will also remain in Haas this season, but more is expected of him for his second season. With the new regulations, Haas has a chance to improve their car and drivers improve their results.
Williams
Who will replace George Russell? That was the question in everyone’s minds. Due to the recent spread of the group, a seat is suddenly in demand. Both Mercedes and Red Bull wanted one of their students in the groove. The choice, in the end, fell on Alex Albon. Returning to the net and defeating Nick de Paris.
